Quick troubleshooting

The wallpaper isn't updating

Click the ▣ menu bar icon → Preferences → Refresh now. If you see an error, double-check that your board is set to Public on Pinterest. If it stays stuck, restart Moodwall (Quit, then reopen).

How do I uninstall?

Quit Moodwall (menu bar icon → Quit), then drag Moodwall.app to the Trash. To remove all local data too, delete the folder ~/Library/Containers/com.trinta.moodwall/.

I get a 'Board not found' error

This means the board isn't publicly readable. Open Pinterest → your board → Edit → set Privacy to Public. You can flip it back anytime; Moodwall caches images for the duration of your refresh interval.

Direct download

  1. 1Buy your license. You'll get a download link by email immediately.
  2. 2Unzip Moodwall.zip and drag Moodwall.app into your Applications folder.
  3. 3First launch: right-click (or Control+click) Moodwall.app → choose Open → click Open in the dialog. macOS only asks once.
  4. 4On macOS 15 Sequoia or later, if no Open button appears, go to System Settings → Privacy & Security, scroll down, and click Open Anyway.
  5. 5Click the ▣ icon in your menu bar → Preferences → paste your public Pinterest board URL → Apply.

Mac App Store

  1. 1Search "Moodwall" in the Mac App Store, hit Get / buy.
  2. 2Open Moodwall from Launchpad. No Gatekeeper warning, App Store handles signing.
  3. 3Menu bar ▣ → Preferences → paste board URL → done.
